DIVE Maths

DIVE Maths

DIVE Math teaches every lesson in each Saxon textbook from a Christian worldview. DIVE lectures utilize a digital whiteboard which looks and feels like being in a real classroom. Connecting new concepts to previous ones, Dr. Shormann patiently teaches students step-by-step how one concept builds on another while working several practice problems per lesson. Students work interactively by taking notes and working problems. They can easily pause, rewind or fast forward, learning at their own pace, thereby improving retention and understanding. Based on European and Asian teaching methods, Saxon's award-winning combination of incremental teaching, spiral review and integration of algebra with geometry ensures students know "all their math all the time", resulting in higher scores on standardized tests and enabling students to confidently move to higher levels of math and science. High school students can learn science using DIVE Science, and even receive college credit for high school work by taking CLEP and AP exams. Students can prepare for these exams using our CLEP Professor series.

    Life of Fred

    Life of Fred

"Mary Poppins was right - A spoonful of sugar can make life a little more pleasant. It is surprising that so few arithmetic books have figured that out." (Author)

These books present maths in a clear straight forward way. They are self-teaching - ideal for home school. They are thorough, containing more maths than is normally taught at school. But, they are fun..

"From the time I was in 2nd grade, I cried my way through math. In high school, I wrote my best friend's term papers and she did all my algebra. . . . Now, here I am with your book. . . I've found myself sitting at the kitchen table, giggling over the story lines, working out problems and actually "getting it" for the first time in my life!!!! :) And that's a very good thing since I am now a homeschool mother of 5. . . . Just so you know, even my 7 and 6 year olds are BEGGING me to read the story of Fred to them!!!! Enough so that they're grabbing paper and pencils attempting to answer the questions with their sibling so I'll read more!!! It seems too good to be true."

    Schofield Sims

Mental Arithmetic is a highly differentiated, progressive series of books, proven to raise children's attainment. The series is based on ability (rather than age cohorts) so that books can be matched to the needs of every child. The books are also assessment-linked so that children can record their own progress and see their achievement build over time. Each book uses the same method of practising the 4 basic number operations (to keep skills sharp) and challenging children to do more complex one- and two-step problems involving logical thinking and application of knowledge previously introduced.
