Burial or Cremation
by D Howard
How should Christians dispose of the bodies of their loved ones after death? Does the Bible give us authoritative guidance on this question, or are we free to decide on the basis of pragmatic arguments, or even personal taste? Donald Howard is convinced that the Scriptures do give a clear answer to this question: 'Burial alone has the endorsement of God's Word, and that Word, not tradition, sentiment or custom, must direct us in both our living and our dying. It is the writer's firm belief that burial alone gives specific testimony to the Christian doctrine of the resurrection of the dead.' The author traces the history of burial through the Old Testament to the culminating example of Christ's burial and resurrection, discusses the practice of cremation in the modern world, and gives wise counsel on the need to grieve and to plan for our own funeral. His whole approach is based on the glorious privilege of being united to Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.

Da Vinci Code on Trial
by Stephen Clark
In this book the author sifts the evidence for the claims found in Dan Brown's best seller, The Da Vinci Code, that Jesus married Mary Magdalene, that the early church covered up the real message of Jesus and that the Bible's account of Jesus is false. After giving a bird's eye view of the novel and explaining why so many find Dan Brown's 'case' to be convincing, Stephen Clark shows why the truth about Jesus is the most important thing we can ever consider. Having set out the Bible's account of Jesus and its relevance to our lives, he then goes on to demonstrate that The Da Vinci Code contains basic inaccuracies and errors and points out why the evidence can in no way support Dan Brown's 'case'. In a final chapter he considers the evidence for believing that the New Testament is historically trustworthy and reliable and that Jesus did in fact rise from the dead. In doing so he presents a compelling case for believing what the Bible says about Jesus. By the end of the book it becomes clear that what matters is not only what we make of Jesus, but what the real Jesus makes of us. This is an easy-to-read book, which does not avoid difficult questions. 'Technical' matters are discussed in a number of appendices. This ensures that while the book reads easily, those who wish to dig deeper will find the answers to their questions.

Divine Challenge
by John Byl
Revealing the failure of Naturalist and Post-Modernist philosophies to explain life as we experience it, Christian mathematician John Byl shows that only a Christian worldview, based on the Bible, can supply us with the necessary foundation for logic, mathematics, science and morality, while giving life coherence, meaning, purpose and hope. Since the beginning of time man has challenged God's supremacy, striving to dethrone God and reinterpret the universe according to his own standards and purposes. In response God, who is determined to destroy the wisdom of the worldly wise and to unmask it for the foolishness that it really is, issues his own challenge to sinful man. Arrogantly, modern scientific man takes up that divine challenge, arming himself with scientific knowledge and technological power. Indeed, man has convinced himself that his rational wisdom has made foolish the wisdom of Scripture, with its tall tales of a personal God, of life after death, and of heaven and hell. 'Such notions', Einstein declared, 'are for the fears or absurd egoism of feeble souls.' John Byl argues that the Christian worldview provides the only foundation for logic, mathematics, science and morality. The Divine Challenge aims to substantiate this bold claim. Byl shows the failure of today's predominant philosophies to provide a coherent worldview that can yield a plausible account of the various aspects of life as we experience it. Only a Christian worldview, squarely based on the truth of the Bible and the comprehensive sovereignty of God, can give our lives coherence, meaning, purpose and hope.

Is That You, Lord?
by Gary E Gilley
We live in a world of communication - telephones, the internet and satellite serve to connect people all over the world. Still, communication is messy business. Poor call quality, dropped lines and misdials are all too common and frustrating ... and that is before we get to try and understand what the other person is really saying. Perhaps this is how we feel about communicating with God. When the Bible was seen as the central means of dialogue it wasn't so bad, but the new and 'improved' methods popularized by modern movements and mystics have disillusioned many individuals. The quest to 'discover the will of God', discern the mysterious promptings of the Spirit, and open the floodgates of divine communication are all hot topics in popular Christian culture, and cause much unnecessary anguish and confusion. But what does the Bible say? Dr Gary E. Gilley shows us, in clear and precise language, what God's Word teaches on this important subject. Essential reading for pastors, teachers, college students, and anyone interested in the Holy Spirit's communication to humanity, Is that you, Lord? will guide you to biblical soundness and Christian sanity.

Monstrous Regiment of Women
by Gunn Brothers

The Monstrous Regiment of Women, The Gunn Brother’s second documentary, goes all out to demolish the feminist worldview. From a consistently Christian perspective, they show how feminism has had a devastating impact on the church, state, and family. Starting with the infamous 16th century essay written by the reformer John Knox against the reigning female monarch, the Gunn Brothers find plenty of application to America’s political landscape; where feminists vie for every possible office including the presidency.
Featuring an all star, all female cast, the Gunn Brothers prove that feminism has in fact restricted choices for all women, brought heartache to the lives of many, and perpetuated the largest holocaust since the beginning of time.

New Creationism
by Andrew Garner
In the increasingly secular age in which we live, it is all too easy to forget that the major disciplines of science were founded by men of broadly Christian convictions. Their names are perhaps familiar to us - Boyle, Ray, Hooke, Newton, Faraday - but there is often an embarrassed silence concerning the spiritual beliefs that motivated these scientific giants. Like the astronomer, Kepler, these men perceived that in their scientific insights they were ‘thinking God's thoughts after him'. Today, however, there is a sense of collective amnesia about the religious motivations of these men. Over the last two or three centuries, science has become almost completely disconnected from its biblical roots, with the result that the academic culture in which science is practiced today is one of tacit - if not explicit - atheism. Nowhere is this more evident than in the scientific study of how the universe began and developed - the field of origins. This book has been written in the conviction that the first eleven chapters of the book of Genesis - the Bible's book of beginnings - provide a trustworthy and accurate account of the early history of the universe.

In Not to Destroy, But to Fulfill, Linus Chua presents what he believes is a proper understanding of this crucial passage. The Dawkins Letters
by David Robertson
When Richard Dawkins published 'The God Delusion', David Robertson wanted there to be an intelligent Christian response. After some ill thought through interventions in the media it was obvious that no one was really going to answer the real issues so David Robertson wrote an open letter to Richard Dawkins on his church website. This has found its way into Richard Dawkins website, where it generated the largest response of any posting up to that time. Since then it has been the source of continued discussion - being a critical part of the largest discussion since that time as his book was officially reviewed on the website. This ferocity of the responses and the shallowness of the thinking that it exhibited, spurred David to write this book. Christians need to know where Dawkins is weak and we need to explain things better! It draws upon David's experience as a debater, letter writer, pastor and author.
This is a very honest book. It agrees with Dawkins where appropiate but also does not hesitate to point out where some of his thinking does not hold together - It is written in a gentle spirit of enquiry.
If you want ideas and answers to the challenges of 'The God Delusion' then Dawkins Letters is the place to find your answers!

This Little Church Had None
by Gary E Gilley
Paul informs us in Romans 1:19-23 man's problem is that he has suppressed the truth about God that has been revealed in the creation around him. This suppression has led to darkened hearts and imaginations that are empty of spiritual reality. Man tries to fill in the blanks with whatever might be in vogue at the moment -- in biblical times it was idols and the direct conscious worship of creation. Today it might be New Age philosophy, Eastern religions, human achievement, humanistic theory, modernistic certainty, postmodern uncertainty, or any number of other theories. Bottom line: mankind has rejected God and His truth and suffers the consequences of that choice as God hands him over to enslavement by his own worldview with its resulting sins (1:24-32). It is no wonder people are disillusioned with life; sin and false beliefs ultimately have that affect. To this end this book is dedicated. We want to understand the opposition to having and living a biblical worldview, what steps we must take to implement the same in our churches, and then how to evangelize people from a biblical worldview framework.

Thousands not Billions
by Donald B DeYoung
Destroys one of the major barriers for faith seekers: alleged long ages for the earth • Provides scientific evidences that correlate to biblical history and time-lines • Can be used as an apologetic; many shun the faith because of alleged scientific “facts” • A sensational answer to “old earth” critics • A powerful book written in plain language This long-awaited book shatters the famed dating methods employed by evolutionists to cast doubt on the veracity of the Bible and its chronology of earth history. Radiometric dating is one of the linchpins of evolutionary education today. By dating the soil in which fossils are found to very long ages, evolutionists undermine faith in Genesis as the true documentary of the history of the universe. When people are told that a dinosaur bone has been determined to be tens of millions of years old, that obviously doesn’t square with the biblical record of man being created on day 6 with the land animals. But DeYoung now demonstrates that Christians no longer have to puzzle over this glaring contradiction. A must-have for the serious Bible student, Thousands . . . not Billions will bolster the faith of many.

Tragedy of Compromise
by Ernest D Pickering
Since the birth of "the New Evangelicalism" in 1948, that movement has been a powerful force in American religion, particularly in bringing conservative Christianity into the "mainstream" of religious life. Yet with all the praise heaped upon the New Evangelicalism by secular and liberal sources, the movement has seriously compromised the biblical principles inherited from its fundamental fore-fathers. Furthermore, New Evangelicalism has sped headlong into un-Christian philosophies and standards that make even the founding fathers of the movement draw back.

Virtual Church and How to Avoid it
by Peter C Glover
Revisiting the late Dr Francis Schaeffer's "great evangelical disaster," The Virtual Church finds Schaeffer's prophetic warning concerning the growing crisis of church and evangelical incoherence and declension has more than come into its own, just two decades later. The author finds that evangelicals, like their liberal counterparts, no longer know what they or their churches profess to believe, and that far too many in the church have simply chosen to be pragmatic Christians, ready to adopt all sorts of Christian-sounding philosophies and traditions. As the incredible opportunities of cyberspace open up, The Virtual Church spells out some of the more visible trends of Schaeffer's "disaster" and points the church forward to a much better way-a way that is both biblical and ancient.
