Book A
Primary Book A is an introduction to early writing skills. Students will generate story ideas, plan stories, choose titles, use a story web to organize information, and recognize the parts of a story. Activities incorporate picture books, games, and simple crafts to make assignments more engaging.

Book B
Primary Book B introduces the use of graphic organizers to help plan a story. With the help of their instructor, students will develop stories that include a problem and solution and progress to writing complete sentences and paragraphs. Factual writing is also introduced through identifying parts of a letter, writing a letter, and writing about personal experiences.

Book C
In Primary Book C, writers practice adding descriptive and telling words to their work to create more detailed writing pieces. Instructors guide students in editing activities that focus on basic capitalization and punctuation of sentences, locating misspelled words, and checking for the main ingredients of a story. Writing activities expand to include summarizing a favorite book, retelling a personal experience, and writing a short research-based article.
