Level 1 - Grammar Basics
Level 1: Grammar Basics gives students an elementary introduction to the nine parts of speech and many foundational grammar skills. Students will begin to explore and develop sentence diagramming skills.
In this level, students will learn about:
Nouns, Articles & Adjectives, Pronouns, Prepositions, Subject & Verb, Adverbs, Sentence Patterns, Linking and Helping Verbs, Conjunctions & Compounds

Level 2 - Mechanics
This level provides guidelines for punctuation, capitalization, and usage rules for students that already have a basic foundation in grammar.
In this level, students will learn about: Comma Splits, Commas, Items in a Series, Two Adjectives Tests, Compound Sentences, Introductory Elements, Interrupters, Names, Dates, & Places, Direct Quotations, Titles, Possessives, Capitalization, Pronouns-Antecedent Agreement, Subject-Verb Agreement, Which Pronoun?, Adjective or Adverb?, Transitive and Intransitive Verbs

Level 3 - Parts of Speech
In this level, students will build their knowledge by exploring complex information about parts of speech and their interactions. Students will learn to analyze and identify the roles that parts of speech play in a sentence.
Students will further develop their skills in Nouns, Adjectives, and Articles, Pronouns, Prepositional Phrases, Subject & Verb, Adverbs, Sentence Patterns 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5, Helping Verbs, Conjunctions & Compound Situations.
Prior to beginning Level 3: Parts of Speech, we recommend you complete Activity 3 of the Analytical Grammar Placement Tool to ensure that your student is ready.

Level 4 - Phrases & Clauses
Level 4: Phrases and Clauses provide advanced work with more complex components. Students will examine and identify parts of speech, phrases, and clauses that can fulfill multiple roles in a sentence.
In this level, students will learn about Participial Phrases, Gerund Phrases, Infinitive Phrases, Appositive Phrases, Adjective Phrases, Adverb Clauses, Noun Clauses, Reinforcement Exercises.

Level 5 - Punctuation and Usage
Level 5: Punctuation and Usage focuses on developing a comprehensive knowledge of punctuation and word usage. Students will round out their grammar knowledge by combining the proper use of punctuation with all they have learned about grammar constructs.
In this level, students will learn about Comma Errors, Comma Rules, Punctuating Quotations, Punctuating Dialogue, Punctuating Titles, Semicolons & Colons, Forming the Possessive, Capitalization, Punctuation/Capitalization Review, Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement, Subject-Verb Agreement, Which Pronoun?, Who or Whom?, Adjective or Adverb?, Active & Passive Voice.
